Ripley County Cancels Orange Travel Advisory "Watch"

As of today, local non-essential travel is allowed.

(Ripley Co., Ind.) - In conjunction with Indiana's Roadmap to Safely Reopen, Ripley County has cancelled the travel advisory "watch."

The Ripley County Board of Commissioners have declared that:

  • Essential travel restrictions are lifter; local non-essential travel allowed.
  • Hoosiers 65 and over and those with high-risk health conditions should remain at home whenever possible. This is the population most vulnerable.
  • Recommend that residents wear face covering in public settings. Residents also should continue to practice social distancing and good hygiene.
  • Social gatherings may take place following the Ripley County and the CDC social distancing guidelines. The coronavirus is often spread among groups of people who are in close contact in a confined space for an extended period of time. This limit applies to such events as wedding receptions, birthday parties, Mother's Day gatherings, and others where people are in close contact for extended periods of time.
  • Continue remote work whenever possible.

This was signed into place today, May 4.
