Ripley Co. Commissioners Pass False Alarm Ordinance

Too may false alarm calls and you'll have to get out your checkbook.

(Ripley County, Ind.) – False alarm calls will no longer be tolerated in Ripley County.

The Ripley County Sheriff’s Office announced Tuesday that county commissioners have passed an ordinance regarding false alarm calls for both residences and businesses.

The ordinance states that residents and business owners will be charged $25 after the third false alarm call to their property. The fourth call will cost $50 and the fifth call will be a fine of $100.

All fines will be paid at the Sheriff’s Office.
