(Aurora, Ind.) – It was an eventful weekend in downtown Aurora.

In between Small Business Saturday and the kick of the 17th annual Miracle on Main Street, the City of Aurora and Main Street Aurora celebrated two ribbon cuttings on Sunday.

The ribbon cuttings welcomed JW Alterations & Apparel at 412 Second Street and New Seasons Estate Sales at 320 Second Street.

New Seasons Estate Sales opened in 2016 out of the home of Sherry and Bob Love but has since bloomed into the purchase of a brick and mortar in early 2021.

As for JW Alterations & Apparel, owner Jenna Wernke returned to Dearborn County from Los Angeles in December 2020. She has relocated her business from Mechanic Street to Second Street.

“On behalf of the City of Aurora and Main Street Aurora we thank you for calling Aurora home. Please reach out to the Mayor’s office or the Main Street Aurora office for anything you need, we are here to help” said Nancy Fahey Turner, Director of Main Street Aurora.

Main Street Aurora encourages the community to shop downtown Aurora and support local businesses during the holiday season.
