Record Amount Of Rainfall Observed At CVG

It was the most rain in Cincinnati for June 19.

(Wilmington, Oh.) – A record amount of rainfall fell in Cincinnati on Saturday.

According to the National Weather Service, 2.73 inches of rain was observed at CVG for June 19, breaking the single day record of 2.60 inches set in 1946.

The 2.73 inches of rainfall marks the 5th highest single day rainfall event for the month of June in the 150-year historical record.

More showers and thunderstorms are expected Monday afternoon and evening, mainly between noon and 8:00 p.m.

Some storms may become severe with the primary threat of damaging wind. Large hail and heavy rainfall will also be possible.
