The organization donates smart phones and data service to survivors of domestic violence.

(Ripley County, Ind.) – More Than a Phone is a program which donates smart phones and data service to survivors of domestic violence.

Their goal is to help those in need stay connected.

This week, More Than a Phone accepted a $5,000 grant from the Ripley County Community Foundation to support survivors of domestic violence in partnership with Safe Passage Inc.

This funding will be used to cover data costs, ensuring survivors have secure, reliable access to the resources and support they need to move forward safely and confidently.

Safe Passage, Inc. is doing life-changing work by providing emergency shelter, mobile advocacy, hospital response, and educational programs—all vital services that empower survivors to rebuild their lives. Together, we’re making a difference, giving survivors more than just a phone—we’re providing a crucial connection to hope, safety, and a new beginning,” reads a statement from More Than a Phone.
