The incident took place Saturday afternoon near Lawrenceburg.

(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) - An angler was rescued after his boat went up in flames on the Ohio River near Lawrenceburg.
Lawrenceburg Fire responded to the call on Saturday around 2:30 p.m. near Hollywood Casino and the Interstate 275 Carroll Cropper Bridge.
According to Fire Chief Johnnie Tremain, the boater was fishing when he heard a loud pop and saw his motor was on fire. The boater tried to retrieve a fire extinguisher but the flames were moving towards him.
A nearby boater helped take the angler to safety.
No injuries were reported.
Chief Tremain added that crews were on the scene for about three hours, which included towing the damaged boat to the Tanners Creek boat ramp.
Cincinnati Fire Department and Boone County Water Rescue assisted at the scene.
