(Osgood, Ind.) - The Osgood Volunteer Fire Department is celebrating a recent achievement.
The department has achieved a Public Protection Classification (PPC) of Class 04/4Y, effective May 1. This is a significant improvement from the department's previous rating of Class 6/6X.

Class 1 represents the best possible fire protection, while Class 10 indicates that minimum criteria are not being met.
