One Pedestrian Killed, Another Injured In KY 18 Crash

The crash took place in Florence just before 7:00 p.m. Tuesday.

(Florence, Ky.) – One person was killed, and another was injured in a crash involving pedestrians.

Florence Police responded to the crash on KY 18 near the intersection of Woodspoint Drive around 6:51 p.m. Tuesday.

Upon arrival, police discovered that a vehicle traveling westbound had collided with two pedestrians that were crossing KY 18.

One of the pedestrians, Jeanie Kinney, 56, of Newport, was transported to St. Elizabeth Hospital Florence, where she was pronounced dead.

The second pedestrian, who remains unidentified, was flown to UC Medical Center for treatment. The victim is in stable condition, according to Florence Police.

The collision remains under investigation.
