(Ripley County, Ind.) - Ripley County Sheriff's deputies responded to a two-vehicle crash involving an off-road vehicle on Saturday night.
The crash took place in the 3000 block of North Old Michigan Road around 10:30 PM.
Upon arrival, deputies located a Polaris Ranger and a Chevy Silverado in the roadway. The crash was almost a complete head-on collision.
Brandi Eaton, 49, of Holton was trapped inside the off-road vehicle. She was extricated and flown to UC Medical Center with unknown injuries.
The driver of the Silverado, Kenneth Geisler, 32, of Madison, was uninjured.
The initial investigation shows that the Polaris was traveling southbound on Old Michigan Road, and the Silverado was northbound when the vehicles collided in the middle of the roadway.
Alcohol is believed to be a contributing factor to the crash.
Old Michigan Road was closed for approximately three and a half hours due to investigation and clean-up.
The crash remains under investigation.
