One Injured in NKY Shooting, Suspect in Custody

The incident took place Wednesday afternoon at Weaver Farm Apartments.

(Florence, Ky.) – One person was wounded in a shooting Wednesday afternoon in Florence.

Florence Police responded to the incident at Weaver Farm Apartments on Tamarack Circle around 4:45 p.m.

Upon arriving at the scene, police located a 20 year old male victim that sustained a gunshot wound to the leg. The victim reported that he and an acquaintance were sitting in their vehicle when another vehicle pulled up behind them, hollered something, and then started shooting.

Several rounds were fired at the victim’s vehicle and fled the scene, according to Florence Police. The suspect, Kylar Adams, 20, of Florence, was taken into custody late Wednesday night and charged with one count of Wanton Endangerment 1st Degree and one count of Assault 1st Degree

The victim was transported to UC Medical Center for treatment and is expected to make a full recovery.

No other injuries were reported.
