One Airlifted from Seven Vehicle Crash with Entrapment on U.S. 50 in Lawrenceburg

The accident took place Tuesday afternoon at the intersection with Tanners Creek Drive.

(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) – One person had to be airlifted from an accident on U.S. 50 in Lawrenceburg on Tuesday afternoon.

Lawrenceburg Police responded to the multi-vehicle crash at the intersection of Tanners Creek Drive and U.S. 50 around 1:43 p.m.

Seven vehicles were involved in the accident including a vehicle driven by Kaitlyn Stallard, 26, of Horse Cave, Kentucky. Stallard’s vehicle was significantly damaged, and she was entrapped.

She was extricated and transferred to UC Medical Center with unknown injuries.

Six other vehicles sustained damage. Two adult males were transported to St. Elizabeth Dearborn with minor injuries.

The cause of the accident remains under investigation.

“We would like to acknowledge contributions made by the businesses and employees of Steak and Shake and UDF to first responders on the scene,” reads a statement from Lawrenceburg Police.

The assisting agencies at the scene included Lawrenceburg Fire, Lawrenceburg EMS, UC Health Air Care, Indiana State Police, Greendale Fire, Greendale EMS, Aurora EMS and Moores Hill EMS.
