(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) - The Ohio River Way is proud to announce the election of three new Vice Chairs to its Executive Committee, representing Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana. Councilwoman Mary Allen of New Richmond, OH; Christy Noll, Executive Director of the Boone Conservancy; and Mike Perleberg, Executive Director of One Dearborn, bring a wealth of experience in community development and a commitment to regional collaboration to their new leadership roles.

“As we continue our work to connect, support, and uplift the communities along the Ohio River, the perspectives of Mary, Christy, and Mike—each with deep experience in local government and growing outdoor recreation—will be invaluable to our organization and in representing their states,” said Forest Clevenger, Executive Director of the Ohio River Way. “Our broad coalition is confident that their leadership will help drive the continued growth and impact of the Ohio River Way, and we look forward to the exciting work ahead.”

Mary Allen

Mary Allen is a seasoned leader with a deep connection to the history and heritage of the Ohio River. After retiring from Procter & Gamble in 2013, Mary turned her focus to local community involvement. She has served as a member of Council in the Village of New Richmond, Ohio, since January 2014 and was Vice Mayor for five years. As the President and Owner of Before Me Genealogy, Mary integrates her professional expertise with a passion for genealogical research, helping individuals and communities uncover their ancestry.

Christy Noll

Christy Noll has been with the Boone Conservancy since 2019, where she serves as Executive Director. With nearly two decades of experience in the greater Cincinnati nonprofit sector, Christy is deeply committed to land conservation and outdoor stewardship. She is also the Chair of the Kentucky Land Trust Coalition. Christy’s dedication to environmental preservation, combined with her experience leading community-based organizations, will be a tremendous asset to the Ohio River Way.

Mike Perleberg

Mike Perleberg is the Executive Director of One Dearborn, an organization dedicated to promoting economic and community development in Dearborn County, Indiana. In his role, Mike helps tell the story of the county, advocating for the needs of its residents, businesses, schools, and beyond. His work strengthens the local economy while ensuring that the community thrives. Mike’s leadership in Dearborn County, coupled with his understanding of regional development and collaboration, brings an important perspective to the Ohio River Way Executive Committee.

The Ohio River Way is also proud to announce that Brewster Rhoads, Jody Robinson, and Simon Foster were re-elected to their roles of Board Chair, Secretary, and Treasurer, respectively, providing their vital and visionary leadership and support.

The entire Ohio River Way team extends its deep appreciation and gratitude to Dr. David Wicks, who has stepped down from his role as Vice Chair. Dr. Wicks will remain an important part of the Ohio River Way team as a member of our Board of Trustees, continuing to help lead the Ohio River Way Challenge and working to develop the new Kentucky Ohio River Regional Recreation Authority (KORRRA).
