Ohio County Tourism Offers Marketing Grants

Organizations and businesses in Ohio County can get a hand in marketing themselves and boosting tourism.

(Ohio County, Ind.) - The Ohio County Convention, Tourism, and Visitors Commission (Ohio County Tourism) is pleased to announce 2020 Marketing Grant opportunities for non-profit/501 organizations. Grants are made available to non-profit organizations that produce tourism-related events/projects that generate visitors and overnight stays in Rising Sun/Ohio County.

The purpose of the Marketing Grant is to defray marketing costs for brochures, posters, advertising, signs, banners, etc., that help organizations generate tourism in Rising Sun/Ohio County. Marketing Grants are available up to $5000 per event. Grant funds do not have to be paid back to the Commission. All events/projects must be held in Rising Sun/Ohio County in 2020.  

Applications are available at the Visitors Center at 217 N. High Street in Rising Sun, on the enjoyrisingsun.com website under the Community Page, or by e-mailing kendal@enjoyrisingsun.com.

Submissions must be received at the Rising Sun/Ohio County Tourism Visitors Center, located at 217 N. High Street, Rising Sun, IN 47040  by November 4, 2019 at 4:30 p.m.  Mailed applications with an event project/budget must be received by this same date/time. Submissions received after this date/time will be ineligible for funding in 2020.

A signed contract must be completed by all grant awardees, with a final report required within three months after the close of the event/project.

Ohio County Tourism encourages interested organizations to apply for a 2020 Marketing Grant to assist fund promotion of their event(s) while fostering tourism and overnight stays to Rising Sun/Ohio County.
