Unless you have immediate business that cannot wait you should avoid the courthouse.

(Rising Sun, Ind.) - Ohio County Commissioners have consulted with our County Health Officer on COVID-19.

Citizens are strongly urged to refrain from visiting the Ohio County Courthouse unless it is urgent business that cannot wait until the pandemic is under control. Ohio County Government is taking COVID-19 very seriously and are taking many precautions to ensure the health and well being of Ohio County citizens as well as our employees.

While the Ohio County Courthouse and other County Departments and offices will remain open at this time, we are STRONGLY urging citizens to refrain from visiting the facilities unless you have immediate business that cannot wait.

Tax Bill payments can be mailed out or dropped off in the after hours drop box located at the side entrance of the Courthouse. Tax bills can also be paid online at WWW.PAYGOV.US.

Child Support and other fine payments can be mailed or put in the after hours drop box. No Cash at this time only checks or money orders. Ohio County’s ultimate goal is to follow all guidelines and instructions from our State leaders and the CDC.

We as County Officials are taking this seriously and we hope that you are also.

Please avoid a trip to the Courthouse and other County buildings if at all possible. The County website is http://ohiocountyin.gov/.

Thank you, Ohio County Commissioners
