(Batesville, Ind.) - Progress is being made on Margaret Mary Health's new hospital.
It was late May when site work began on the $115 million project at Six Pine Ranch on State Road 229 near the Interstate 74 interchange in Batesville.
The site being developed is adjacent to the Margaret Mary Physician Center and Margaret Mary Outpatient and Cancer Center and will span approximately 23 acres, including the 124,000 square foot hospital, expanded walking trails and green spaces to promote community wellness.
As seen in the photo above, great progress has been made since construction started in the spring.
The workforce is steadily increasing, with an average of 160 tradespeople working on the project daily throughout June. The exterior is taking shape with ongoing brick and stone masonry, and window installations are progressing. Preparations for curbs and asphalt paving have also started.
Inside the building, progress is being made on mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems. Framing and drywall installation also continue, and painting has begun, adding a fresh touch to the interior.
Construction is scheduled to finish in early 2026 with an anticipated opening for patient care in late summer.
