(Bright, Ind.) - Multiple agencies responded to a working structure fire early Saturday morning.
Lawrenceburg Fire Department was the first to arrive to the scene around 3:50 a.m. at a multi-family condo.
According to Bright Fire Department, crews worked in high heat and heavy smoke conditions to keep the fire from spreading to other units. The first-in crews used all truck water to slow the fire, but additional water supply was needed.
The heavily populated area does not have adequate hydrants available, according to Bright Fire. In response, there were tankers dumping water two at a time as well as other tankers feeding a ladder truck.
Two units ended up being a total loss, but no injuries were reported.
Assisting at the scene were crews Lawrenceburg, Miami Township. Whitewater Townships, Harrison Fire Department, Aurora Fire, Miller York Fire, and St. Leon Fire Department.
Logan Supermart also assisted by providing coffee and food.
