Immediate or minor care is not offered at the Health Center of Batesville.

(Batesville, Ind.) - Beginning January 6, Margaret Mary Health will be offering walk-in immediate care (formerly known as minor care) at our Health Center of Batesville, located at 256 State Route 129, just south of the Southeastern Indiana YMCA and across from Gillman Home Center. Immediate care provides prompt treatment for non-life-threatening conditions and minor injuries which require immediate attention but are not severe enough to warrant a visit to the emergency services department.

Hours of operation will be Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Examples of conditions treated in immediate care include ear infections, colds, the flu, coughs, rashes, minor fractures, sprains and cuts. Immunizations may also be scheduled at Margaret Mary’s Health Center of Batesville on Tuesdays and Thursdays by calling 812.932.5105.

“By offering immediate care at this location, our goal is to provide patients with more affordable and convenient treatment options,” said Liz Leising, MMH President and CEO. “We hope this move helps redirect non-urgent cases from our emergency department, ensuring our ER staff can focus more time and resources on caring for those who are critically ill.”

Effective January 6, minor care will no longer be offered in our emergency department. Patients who present with non-urgent conditions will still be treated; however, emergency-level fees will apply
