Milan Shooting Ruled Homicide

(Milan, Ind.) – The shooting death of a Greendale man at a home in Milan has been ruled homicide by investigators with the Indiana State Police.

 

Police were called to 4383 North County Road 225 East near Milan the morning of December 4. When officials arrived on the scene they found Randy Isaacs, Sr. of Greendale suffering from a gunshot wound. 

 

Isaacs, 52, later died at Margaret Mary Hospital in Batesville.  

 

A second shooting occurred at the same residence on the afternoon of Wednesday, December 7 in which homeowner Russell Holt suffered a self-inflicted gunshot wound. 

 

Holt, 71, was airlifted to University Hospital in Cincinnati where he later died. 

 

The investigation of both shootings is still ongoing.  Detectives are still awaiting lab results from several articles of evidence collected at the scene of the first shooting.

 

Investigators have still not determined who is responsible for Isaacs’ murder.
