DALLAS - Four teams from schools in Eagle Country competed at the 2023 VEX Robotics World Championship in Dallas, Texas earlier this month.
Three of the local teams competed in the Elementary School VEX IQ event.
Manchester Elementary had two teams qualify for the World Championship. Manchester Shiners 1 finished 190th out of 694 teams. Manchester Shiners 2 placed 207th.
- Manchester Shiners 1: Piper Cole, Jozlyn Damico, Charleigh Fox, Gabby Hehman, Jade Miller, and Teagan Pfaffl
- Manchester Shiners 2: Wyatt Burke, Gabe Cole, Brody Doller, Chase Hamlett, Wyatt Heeman, and Grayson Merida
Milan also sent two teams to the World Championship. Their elementary team, The Cool Kids, placed 562nd in the skills competition. Their team was made up of Liam Grove, Hunter Hartman, Makenna Hartman, Conor Hileman, Nickalous Kunder, Auden Rohrer, and Kyle Zacharias.
In the Middle School VEX IQ event, Milan's team placed 542nd out of 710 teams. The team, known as The Quesadillas, included Logan Bruns, Jesse Hampton, Kaitlynn Hicks, and Mallory Hunter.
The VEX Robotics World Championship brings together the top VEX IQ Robotics Competition, VEX Robotics Competition, and VEX U teams from around the globe to celebrate their accomplishments and compete to be crowned champions.
VEX IQ Robotics Competition teams competed in the exciting 2022-2023 game, Slapshot, to earn a spot at this prestigious event.
