Milan Man Arrested for Possession of Firearm by Serious Violent Felon

(Greendale, Ind.) – A Milan man has been arrested on numerous charges, including Possession of a Firearm by a Serious Violent Felon.

Greendale Police announced Wednesday that arrest of Zachary Miles.

The 34-year-old was taken into custody during a traffic stop on the Interstate 275 ramp in Greendale on April 29.

During the traffic stop, Miles was allegedly found in possession of numerous drug related items, such as paraphernalia, syringes, baggies of green leafy material presumed to be marijuana, white powder residue, .22 caliber revolver, two boxes of .556 caliber rounds, and an undisclosed amount of cash.

Greendale Police say Miles was not to be in possession of a firearm based on his criminal history.

He is charged with Possession of Firearm by a Serious Violent Felon (Level 4 Felony), Dealing a Schedule I, II, or III Controlled Substance (Level 4 Felony), Dealing a Narcotic Drug (Level 4 Felony), Dealing Methamphetamine (Level 3 Felony), Possession of a Syringe (Level 6 Felony), Possession of Paraphernalia (Class C Misdemeanor) and Possession of Marijuana (Class B Misdemeanor).
