(Franklin County, Ind.) – Wet conditions caused a vehicle to crash into a home Tuesday morning in Franklin County.

Franklin County Sheriff’s deputies were called to the scene of the accident on State Road 252 near Dorrell Road around 6:22 a.m.

Deputies say Ryan S. Bartish, 18, of Metamora, was traveling westbound on S.R. 252 when his vehicle began to hydroplane on the wet roadway, causing him to lose control of his vehicle. Bartish’s vehicle then went off the north side of the roadway and through a fence before slamming into the side of a house.

Bartish was not injured in the crash. An occupant of the home was also uninjured.

The Franklin County Sheriff’s Department was assisted at the scene by Brookville Volunteer Fire Department, Brookville EMS #2 and Responder 24.
