Man Charged With Murder Of NKY Couple Dies From COVID-19 Complications

(Florence, Ky.) - A man charged with killing a Florence, Kentucky couple has died from COVID-19 complications.

Craig Pennington, 56, died on Monday at Norton Healthcare in Louisville, according to Marion County Detention Center Chief of Security Irvin Mann.

Pennington was awaiting trial when he passed away. He was facing two counts of murder for the shooting deaths of Bobby Jones and Crystal Warner.

The Commonwealth of Kentucky had previously filed a motion seeking the death penalty if Pennington was convicted.
