Longtime Harrison Police Officer Retires After 23 Years Of Service

Harrison Police Department has also announced the hiring of a new officer.

(Harrison, Oh.) – A longtime Harrison Police Officer is calling it a career.

Joseph Willig recently retired after 23 years of service.

During his career, he earned Harrison Police Department Officer of the Year on multiple occasions, among numerous other awards. He most recently worked as a D.A.R.E. officer and school resource officer.

As Willig embarks on retirement, the Harrison Police force has welcomed a new officer.

Lyric Hamblin was sworn-in last week and has been assigned to the field training program.
