Local Unemployment Mostly Steady In November

While the state's jobless rate climbed slightly in November, most local rates stayed the same.

(Indianapolis, Ind.) - Indiana saw a slight uptick in its jobless rate in November, but local numbers didn’t fluctuate much.

According to the Indiana Department of Workforce Development, Indiana’s jobless rate was 3.6 percent in November, up from 3.5 percent in October.

Locally, unemployment rates ranged from 3.6 percent in Dearborn and Ohio counties to 4.0 percent in Switzerland County.

The five southeast Indiana counties in Eagle Country were at or near the national unemployment rate of 3.7 percent.
