(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) - The Life Center invites the community to come together for the annual Hope 5K, a family-friendly run/walk that proves hope truly is for everyone.

The event takes place on Saturday, October 18, from 10 a.m. to noon, along the scenic Ohio River in Lawrenceburg, Indiana. Proceeds from the Hope 5K directly support the Life Center, a nonprofit dedicated to walking alongside individuals and families as they rebuild after life’s challenges—whether it’s recovery from addiction, job loss, medical hardships, or unexpected setbacks.

“Hope is for everyone. Our mission is to remind people they are not alone and to provide the resources, encouragement, and support they need to life get back on track,” said Diane Vollner, Life Center Communications Team.

Event Highlights

  • Family-Friendly 5K: The stroller- and wheelchair-accessible course welcomes runners, walkers, and families of all ages.
  • Participant Perks: All adult participants receive a T-shirt, bib, and chip timer.
  • Sponsorship Opportunities: Local businesses can showcase their support with their logo on event T-shirts, website recognition, and signage along the race path.

This year’s 5K comes on the heels of the Life Center’s Shoes for Souls program, which distributed over 150 pairs of shoes to students in need before the start of the school year, and plans to give away another 350 pairs throughout the year with the help of community partnerships. “By showing up, you’re not just running or walking—you’re standing with people in our community who need hope most,” Vollner said. “We exist to walk alongside our neighbors and we encourage everyone to join us.”
