Lawrenceburg Memorial Day Parade Happens May 27

Area residents are invited to honor those who have passed serving their country.

(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) - Memorial Day is a day of remembrance and honoring those who have lost their lives fighting for their country.  

Area residents are invited to honor those who have fallen during the parade on Monday, May 27.

Participants of the parade are instructed to gather starting at at 9:00 a.m. at the Dearborn County Government Center located at West High and Mary streets.

The parade will begin at 10:00 a.m. traveling east on High Street to Walnut Street then continue to St. Lawrence Church.

A ceremony set to begin at 11:00 a.m. will also be held at Soldiers Circle at the Greendale Cemetery, where Judge James D. Humphrey will be the guest speaker. After the ceremony, all are invited to an open house at American Legion Post 239, 201 2nd Street in Lawrenceburg, for refreshments.
