Lawrenceburg Man ID'd as Victim of Fatal Stateline Road Crash

The crash took place on Wednesday afternoon.

(Greendale, Ind.) - Greendale Police were called to the 19300 block of Stateline Road on Wednesday afternoon after a single vehicle collided with a tree. 

Upon arrival, officers discovered that the only occupant of the 2005 Toyota Corolla was David Gentrup, 70, of Lawrenceburg. 

Gentrup was found unconscious and not breathing. Life-saving measures were attempted by police and EMS, but the attempts were unsuccessful and Gentrup was pronounced deceased at the scene. 

It is believed that he may have experienced a major medical episode prior to the crash. 

The investigation is ongoing.
