(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) – A Lawrenceburg man has been arrested on allegations of dealing drugs to area school children.

Noah Sauntry, 20, was taken into custody on April 28 and charged with Dealing in a Schedule 1 Controlled Substance (Level 2 Felony), Corrupt Business Influence (Level 5 Felony), Dealing in Marijuana (Level 6 Felony), and Maintaining a Common Nuisance (Level 6 Felony).

Sauntry came under investigation upon authorities learning that he was using SnapChat to communicate and sell marijuana, THC vape cartridges, and other controlled substances including acid or LSD to area high school students.

Dearborn County Sheriff’s deputies took Sauntry into custody during a traffic stop last week. During the stop, deputies observed a strong odor of raw marijuana coming from the vehicle. Deputies say they located approximately 40 grams of psylocibin mushrooms and approximately 55 grams of marijuana wax.

A search of Sauntry’s home uncovered more items, including items commonly used to package and sell drugs, an AR-15, a large amount of drug paraphernalia, and over $3,000 in U.S. Currency.

“Anyone who chooses to deal drugs to kids needs to know that we are looking for you,” said Sheriff Shane McHenry. “We have one of the best teams in the State which includes our School Resource Officers and our message is simple. We will catch you and put an end to your operation.”

Sauntry is held in the Dearborn County Law Enforcement Center pending an initial hearing.
