Lawrenceburg Man Accused Of Rape, Child Molesting

(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) - A Lawrenceburg man is accused of Rape, Child Molesting and Sexual Battery. 

Jacob Michael Doneworth, 19, is held in the Dearborn County Law Enforcement Center charged with Rape (Level 3 Felony), two counts of Child Molesting (Level 3 Felony), two counts of Vicarious Sexual Gratification (Level 4 Felony), two counts of Sexual Misconduct with a Minor (Level 6 Felony) and two counts of Sexual Battery (Level 6 Felony). 

The investigation began in September when the victim reported the sexual abuse to Indiana Department of Child Services. The victim indicated the abuse occurred two to three years prior at Doneworth's apartment on Valley Drive in Lawrenceburg. 

During questioning, Doneworth confirmed there were four total sexual encounters, including two when he was 18-years-old and the victim was 12. He added that he was "high" from smoking marijuana during one of the encounters and that it "kind of happened." 

Doneworth was arrested on October 24 and was booked into the Dearborn County Law Enforcement Center on $750,000 surety bond and $100,000 cash bond.

Bail was set high due to the allegations in the probable cause affidavit, in addition to Doneworth being in possession of multiple fully-loaded guns, drug paraphernalia and large sums of cash. 

Doneworth is set for a pre-trial hearing on December 17 at 1:30 p.m.
