Lawrenceburg Man Accused Of Dealing In, Using Drugs At Area Nursing Home

Charges against Ronald Bills were filed in Dearborn County on November 1.

(Dillsboro, Ind.) - A Lawrenceburg man is accused of dealing in and using drugs while on the clock.

Ronald E. Bills, 36, was charged on November 1 with Dealing in a Narcotic Drug (Hydrocodone), a Level 5 felony and Dealing in a Schedule II Controlled Substance (Adderall), a Level 6 felony.

Lawrenceburg Police began investigating Bills on October 23 after receiving a tip that he and two others were engaging in illegal drug activity at a nursing home in Dillsboro.

According to a probable cause affidavit, police observed messages from Bills' cell phone that stated he would purchase Adderall capsules. Other messages showed Bills asking others to come into a room at work to "do a line".

During questioning, Bills told police that he did take two Adderall capsules from a co-worker but that he threw them away later on. Bills also told police that he never brought any narcotics into the workplace.

However, one interviewee told police they had sold Adderall to Bills and that Bills had brought Hydrocodone and Percocet into the workplace, where they both snorted several lines. Police interviewed one other person, whom stated that they had received Adderall from Bills, in addition to giving him Suboxone.
