(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) – A special piece of artwork depicting Lauren Hill was gifted to the City of Lawrenceburg on Monday night.

Mayor Kelly Mollaun and city officials received the artwork from Lisa Hill and Jaime and Brandon Lorton as a thanks to the City of Lawrenceburg for their support for pediatric cancer research on behalf of Lauren Hill and the Lauren’s Burg Hill 5K that is held each summer in Lawrenceburg.

Lauren embodied a “Never Give Up” attitude as she battled Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma (DIPG) from November 2013 to the time she passed away in April 2015.

While battling the terminal disease, Lauren continued to enjoy life and raise awareness for DIPG, while following her dream of playing college basketball.

In her memory, the City of Lawrenceburg and the Dearborn Community Foundation enabled the Lauren Hill Make a Difference Fund to ensure grants are available to address the changing needs in the community.

Anyone can contribute to the Lauren Hill Make A Difference Fund. Contributions of any amount are accepted by the Foundation.
