(Lawrenceburg, IN) - There will be a rolling roadblock on I-275 eastbound beginning at 9 p.m. tonight. Traffic will be slowed/stopped in order for crews to perform a traffic switch. This traffic switch will keep traffic on the left lane before and on the bridge. The rolling roadblocks should be completed by midnight.
Crews recently completed a portion of the repairs to the expansion/finger joint in the left lane on the bridge. Crews removed bolts and replaced them with longer, 27-inch bolts that were plated above and below the bridge deck. Much of the work was done out of sight of drivers on the highway.
Crews will perform similar work, but now on the right lane portion of the expansion joint.
Steel is being fabricated for the floor beam repairs. While that's being fabricated, crews will be repairing several portions of the T-1 steel on the arch of the bridge to ensure the bridge can safely be used for years to come.
A completion of late Summer 2025 is still expected.
