(Carroll County, Ky.) - An officer-involved shooting was reported early Thursday morning on KY 55 in Carroll County.

The preliminary investigation from Kentucky State Police indicates an off-duty Carroll County Sheriff's deputy encountered a suspicious vehicle parked on private property on KY 55.

After a brief interaction, the occupant in the vehicle accelerated and drove in the direction of the deputy, who then discharged his agency issued firearm.

The individual fled the area, driving north on KY 55. Shortly after leaving the scene, the vehicle crashed into a wooded area. The driver was identified as Clinton Meadows Jr., 28, of Indianapolis.

Meadows was arrested without further incident. A female passenger from the vehicle, Holly Price, 34, of Indianapolis, was also located and arrested related to the incident. No injuries were reported by the individuals involved, and no officers were injured during the incident.
