(Milan, Ind.) – Registration will open this month for kindergarten classes at Milan Elementary School.

A registration event is scheduled for Thursday, March 16 at Milan Elementary. Sessions will begin at 8:30 a.m. and will continue throughout the day in 15-minute increments until the final session at 4:30 p.m.

Parents and guardians are asked to call the school at 812-654-2922 to indicate which session you and your child will be attending.

Children that are being registered should be present, but due to lack of space and time involved, the school asks that other children refrain from attending. Parents should bring their child’s birth certificate and immunization record to the registration event, along with the names and phone numbers of their child’s doctor and dentist.

The registration process features a brief screening session for students entering kindergarten. The total registration time for those students will be 15-30 minutes.

To be eligible, students must be five years old on or before August 1, 2023.

All kindergarten classes will be full-day classes meeting Monday through Friday. Students will be eligible for all programs such as lunch and book assistance.
