Teachers in one of Kentucky's school districts are not showing up for work as they rally in Frankfort.

(Frankfort, Ky.) - Kentucky Education Association president Stephanie Winkler is accusing Governor Matt Bevin of vilifying educators in a video he posted responding to recent teacher sickouts.
Winkler says Bevin is disregarding teachers' input and the role they play in the Commonwealth's future.
Bevin said in the video that teachers calling in sick in order to protest at the Capitol are putting themselves ahead of Kentucky schoolchildren.

Meanwhile, the state's largest school district is closed again Wednesday. A third of Jefferson County Public Schools teachers called out sick.
JCPS says it can't safely cover its classes with substitute teachers.
Yesterday, JCPS superintendent Dr. Marty Pollio said he's disappointed an agreement the district had with teachers to keep schools open while sending representation to protest in Frankfort didn't work.
