(Burlington, Ky.) - A northern Kentucky man is awaiting sentencing for a nearly 30-year-old sexual assault.

Clyde Crawford, 75, was convicted Tuesday of sodomy and sexual abuse in Boone County court after just 14 minutes of jury deliberations.

Crawford abused the now 32-year-old woman when she was just six-years-old.

“The brave victim (now 32 yo) finally got justice for unspeakable offenses committed against her when she was just 6 years old,” Commonwealth’s Attorneys for Boone and Gallatin Counties said.

The jury recommended a 30-year sentence for Crawford.
