Ivy Tech will provide students with the option to take classes face-to-face, online, or virtually.

(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) - Classes at Ivy Tech Community College’s Lawrenceburg and Batesville locations will start on October 26. Ivy Tech will provide students with the option to take classes face-to-face, online, or virtually to ensure the safety students during quarantine. After being online-only during the Summer, the campus reopened on August 24. Students are already weeks into their Fall term, many adjusting to the new setting but thankful to be back on campus.

“I feel like my transition back to campus has been as seamless as possible given the circumstances. I'm definitely happy to be back on campus. Face-to-face learning fits a lot better with the way I learn, so I'm thankful to be back. The college is obviously taking safety measures seriously, which is great. So far, everyone I've seen is cooperating with the new COVID rules, so hopefully we'll be able to stay on campus.” Isabelle Grace Wiehe, student.

“The first week of school was definitely a little different, but overall it was great! I really enjoyed getting somewhat back to normal and attending my classes. Throughout the week Ivy Tech has made sure to keep everyone around campus safe, whether that be through sanitizing, having seat covers, or social distancing. Being able to see some of my friends and go work out in our school's gym is probably the most exciting thing to me because I am able to socialize with people that I have not seen in a long time and also go work out. Overall I am extremely grateful to be back on campus and working hard to complete my degree through this truly wild and event filled year.” Caden Browndyke, student.

Students interested in getting more information about scholarship opportunities or enrolling in classes for October 26 are encourage to contact the campus at  R11Express@ivytech.edu.
