(Harrison, Oh.) – Ohio voters went to the ballot box Tuesday for the Primary Election.

Locally, Harrison residents voted for four Republican City Council At-Large candidates to move on to the November General Election, while Ohioans statewide voted on Issue 2.

Tanner Dole received 582 votes (17.9 percent), followed by William Neyer with 569 votes, Patty VanCleve with 558 votes and Edward Whitt with 496 votes.

Billy Richardson (490 votes), Douglas Abrams Jr. (351 votes) and Ray Acra (207 votes) fell short of advancing to the November General Election.

Issue 2 passed with 67.8 percent support. Over 588,000 Ohioans voted “yes” to approve the renewal of a constitutional amendment that supports local governments in funding infrastructure projects.

The amendment was first introduced in 1987 and has been approved by voters three times in the past 38 years. A "yes" vote would support authorizing the state to issue general obligation bonds to fund public infrastructure improvements statewide. The bonds could be issued up to $250 annually or $2.5 billion over 10 years.
