(Versailles, Ind.) – An Indiana State Police-Versailles Post detective is retiring after three decades of service.
Detective/Trooper Peter Tressler worked his final shift on Thursday.
Tressler is a 32-year veteran of the ISP-Versailles Post.
He started at the Versailles Post in 1991, where he worked as a road trooper and a gaming enforcement agent until 2005.
Tressler was reassigned as a detective in 2005 and remained in that position until his retirement on Thursday. Last December, Tressler was recognized with an award for his great working relationship with other agencies in the area.
“Detective Tressler has had a long and distinguished career serving the citizens of Indiana,” his supervisor stated. “His dedication to the Indiana State Police and the community he has served should not go unnoticed. We thank him for his service and wish him an enjoyable retirement.”
