INDOT Issues Full Call-Out Ahead Of Winter Weather

Motorists are encouraged to slow down and give plow truck plenty of room to work.

(Aurora, Ind.) – The Indiana Department of Transportation Southeast District is ready for the next round of snow in the area.

INDOT issued a full call-out of plow trucks ahead of accumulating snow and ice expected tonight through Tuesday morning.

The National Weather Service is calling for one to three inches of snow locally. A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect from 4:00 p.m. Monday to 7:00 a.m. Tuesday.

Plow drivers will begin reporting late this afternoon to start monitoring and treating state roads. The Aurora Sub District will be deploying 28 trucks.

Shift changes will take place around midnight and additional crews will take over if necessary.

Motorists are encouraged to slow down and give plow trucks plenty of road to work.
