(Indianapolis, Ind.) - Indiana’s unemployment rate decreased in March.
The Indiana Department of Workforce Development says the state’s jobless rate fell to 3.9 percent in March, down from 4.0 percent a month prior. The state's unemployment rate remains lower than the national rate of 6.0 percent.
Indiana's total labor force, which includes both Hoosiers employed and those seeking employment, stands at 3.34 million, and the state’s 63.1 percent labor force participation rate remains above the national rate of 61.5 percent.
Among neighboring states, Ohio had an unemployment rate of 4.7 percent in March, while Kentucky’s jobless rate was at 5.0 percent.
Data for Indiana counties will be available on Monday, April 19 at noon.
