Indiana Unemployment Rate Increase in July

Local counties also saw an uptick in unemployment last month.

INDIANAPOLIS – Indiana’s unemployment rate saw a slight increase in July.

According to the Indiana Department of Workforce Development, the state’s jobless rate stands at 4.0 percent, up from 3.8 percent a month prior.

By comparison, the national unemployment rate for July stands at 4.3 percent.

Indiana’s total labor force stands at 3,387,066.
