(Indianapolis, Ind.) - Indiana’s unemployment rate dropped last month.
The Indiana Department of Workforce Development says the state’s jobless rate for June was 3.5 percent, down from 3.6 percent a month prior.
Indiana’s unemployment rate remains lower than the national rate of 3.7 percent.
Locally, unemployment rates ranged from 3.2 percent in Ripley County to 3.4 percent in Dearborn and Franklin counties.
Indiana’s labor force had a net decrease of 10,126 over the previous month. This was a result of a decrease of 3,123 unemployed residents and a decrease of 7,003 employed residents.
June employment data for Indiana counties and cities will be released at noon.
