(Indianapolis, Ind.) – Indiana’s unemployment rate saw a slight improvement last month.
The Indiana Department of Workforce Development says the state’s jobless rate for July was 3.4 percent, down from 3.5 percent a month prior.
Indiana’s unemployment rate remains lower than the national rate of 3.7 percent.
Locally, unemployment rates ranged from 3.3 percent in Ohio County to 3.7 percent in Dearborn County.
Indiana’s labor force had a net decrease of 6,608 over the previous month. As it stands, the state’s total labor force is at 3.38 million, and the state’s 64.6 percent labor force participation rate remains above the national rate of 63 percent.
