Licenses, ID cards, and vehicle registrations will now be extended through June 4.
(Indianapolis, Ind.) — BMV renewal deadlines have been extended in the Hoosier state.
On Friday, Governor Holcomb signed Executive Order 20-27 to further extend Bureau of Motor Vehicles (BMV) renewal deadlines.
Driver’s licenses, identification cards, and vehicle registrations that were set to expire prior to June 4 will now be valid through June 4.
This executive order also extends the BMV’s deadlines for title transactions, salvage titles, and off-road vehicle and snowmobile titles.
Anyone that has an expiring state-issued professional license or permit will also be provided an extension through June 4.
Additionally, in an effort to recruit poll workers for the upcoming June 2 primary election, Executive Order 20-27 will allow election workers to collect their stipend without reducing their unemployment.
The executive order extends specific individual and business tax deadlines to match federal law.
