(Indianapolis, Ind.) – The state of Indiana is receiving millions of dollars in funding for road and bridge repairs caused by flooding last year.
The Federal Highway Administration announced Tuesday that Indiana will receive nearly $6.2 million in emergency relief funds.
Numerous roads and bridges in both the northern and southern parts of Indiana were damaged during flooding last February, including local roads located near the Ohio River in Dearborn, Ohio and Switzerland counties.
The FHA funding is part of more than $700 million that is being split between 34 states to repair roads and bridges damaged by storms, floods and other unexpected events.
