(Hidden Valley, Ind.) – The dam holding back two billion gallons of water at Hidden Valley Lake has been repaired.
HVL community manager Bruce Keller said repairs were completed Friday. A surface slip was discovered on the dam December 6.
After further investigation, engineers have determined the problem was only a surface slip and there is not a problem with the nearly 40-year-old land dam’s structural integrity.
Keller said crews will work Monday to put new top soil on the slip, seed it, and place an erosion mat over the area until spring.
