Hollywood Casino Presents $40K in Scholarships to Two Southeastern Indiana Students

(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) - Hollywood Casino Lawrenceburg recently presented $40,000 in Penn National Gaming Diversity Scholarships to two southeastern Indiana students. Each student received a scholarship totaling $20,000 toward their college education.

Emma Sauers of Lawrenceburg, Indiana received one of the two Diversity Scholarships. She is the daughter of Michael and Carrie Sauers, who are both Table Games Dealers at the casino. Emma will continue her education at Northern Kentucky University.

Ally Gray of Clarksville, Indiana, received the other Diversity Scholarship. She is the daughter of Eric Gray, who is the Director of Surveillance at the casino. She will be attending college at the University of Southern Indiana.

In 2021, Penn National launched its Diversity Scholarship program, created exclusively to support the dependents of team members. Aimed at promoting equity in post-secondary education for the dependents of Penn National team members, the company proudly provides financial assistance to graduating high school seniors or current college students. Penn has awarded over $1 million in scholarships each of the last two years through the program.
