If a spike in COVID-19 patient occurs, elective procedures can once again be halted.

(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) - Highpoint Health has begun a measured approach in resuming diagnostic and elective surgical procedures. “Our COVID-19 task force has been working tirelessly with state and local health agencies to develop the protocol needed to ensure the safety of our patients, visitors and staff,” said Michael Schwebler, President and CEO, Highpoint Health. “We strictly follow all guidelines set by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and have seen an appropriate downward trend of COVID-19 hospitalizations.” It’s also important to note Highpoint Health has sufficient personal protective equipment (PPE), supplies and staff to treat both COVID-19 patients and the general public.

Schwebler cautioned the COVID-19 pandemic is a continuously evolving situation. If a spike in COVID-19 patient occurs, elective procedures can once again be halted. “The safety of all who enter our doors is and always will be our number one priority,” said Schwebler.
