(Brookville, Ind.) – A COVID-19 high-volume vaccination clinic is being launched in Franklin County.

Reid Health and the Franklin County Health Department are partnering to bring the vaccination clinic to the American Legion Post 77 starting March 30.

The clinic will be open Tuesdays for six weeks between 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m.

First shots will be given on March 30, April 6, and April 13. Second doses will be administered over the following three weeks.

"We're thrilled to have Reid jump in and start giving vaccines here," said Jennifer Profitt, Franklin County Health Board member. "We appreciate their willingness to help us build up our distribution numbers."

Currently, Hoosiers ages 40 and up, healthcare workers, first responders, teachers, and school staff are eligible to receive the vaccine.

Those with certain medical conditions that put them more at risk for becoming severely ill from COVID-19 are also eligible. A full list of those conditions can be found on the IDOH website.

Appointments should be scheduled at ourshot.in.gov or by calling 221.
